After-School Classes
Dragonfly Art Studio offers after-school classes for two different age groups. Our art classes are designed to stimulate kids imagination and creativity, while they have fun experimenting with a range of art mediums and materials. Each group will meet ONE DAY A WEEK from 3:30-5:30pm and have a maximum of 12 students.

6-9 year-olds (Tuesdays or Wednesdays)
This group will study basic art concepts and techniques and learn about various artists. The students will often create their art using the same techniques as the artist we are studying. The students will be exposed to various mediums.

10-16 year-olds (Mondays or Thursdays)
This group will learn more advanced art concepts, learn new techniques and learn about various artists. The students will vote on which mediums they would like to study such as Printmaking, Sewing, Carving, Textiles, Sculpture, Drawing, Weaving, Figure Drawing, Folk Art, Photography, Painting, Book Making, Pastels/Charcoal, Clay, and Paper making.

During each class, the student has free time where the they can choose to create or explore any of the following:

• Hands on self exploration of art concepts
• Work at a self portrait table
• Learn to crochet
• Drawing/Painting assistance
• Masterpiece art history cards
• Imagination buckets (building objects)

At the end of each session, there is a public Art Show displaying the student’s work.
